There is no single answer for every gym — the right platform depends on your gym's size, whether your staff and members work in Arabic, how reliable your internet is, and your budget. Competitor details below come from each vendor's own public site, read on 16 September 2026, and each section says where the other platform is the better choice.

What to Check Before You Buy

• Arabic interface: is the whole interface in Arabic with right-to-left layout, or just some labels?
• Check-in: how do members enter — QR, barcode, card or gate hardware — and what does any hardware cost?
• Offline behaviour: what still works when the internet drops, and what queues until it returns?
• Group classes and booking: can members book classes, and are capacity and waitlists handled?
• WhatsApp follow-up: who approves the message that gets sent — the system or the owner?
• Branches and permissions: what changes if you add a second branch?
• Support: which channels, which hours, and in which language?
• Pricing: is a price published, or is it a quote? Ask for written terms either way.

We state a competitor capability when that vendor's own site states it. Where a vendor's public material was silent or unavailable, the table says "Not verified" or "Not stated" instead of guessing. Prices and features change — re-check with each vendor before you buy.

Renewal follow-up is prepared from subscription records, and the gym owner approves each WhatsApp send — the system does not message members on its own. Group classes and booking, subscriptions, freezes and reports are part of the same system, and commercial terms are quote-first and confirmed in writing.

2. Gym Engine

Gym Engine is an Egyptian platform whose own site describes a fully Arabic interface, QR attendance, POS and gate integrations, member and coach apps, and WhatsApp message flows. It lists per-branch staff permissions and says pricing is set per country and branch count rather than published as a rate card; its public material did not describe offline operation when we read it. Gym Engine is the better choice when you want hardware integrations and a native member app, or when you want to buy from a vendor that has been serving Egyptian and Saudi clubs for several years.

We could not reach Egypt Gym Manager's website while preparing this comparison, so we have not stated its features, pricing or support here — the table marks every value as not verified rather than guessing. If it is on your shortlist, ask the vendor for a written feature list, current pricing and a demo, then compare those answers against the checklist above. That is also the fastest way to confirm whether it covers Arabic, check-in and offline operation in the way your gym needs.

Gymista's own site states that it has served the Egyptian market since 2016, and it publishes plan prices plus features such as gate and barcode access with attendance reports, a member app showing subscriptions, visits, invoices and InBody data, trainer commission calculations, and Saudi e-invoicing. Its published pages describe barcode entry and gate integration rather than QR check-in, and did not state offline operation when we read them. Gymista is the better choice if you want a long-standing local vendor with published plan prices and InBody or trainer-commission features in the same system.

Its gym pages did not state QR check-in, WhatsApp messaging or group-class booking when we read them, and no price appeared on the pages we could reach. Daftra is the better choice when accounting, invoicing and inventory are the core of what you need.
